Product profile
About NAD+
NAD⁺ is a crucial coenzyme found in all living cells, playing an irreplaceable role in energy metabolism, DNA repair, gene expression, and cellular aging regulation. It functions primarily as a "fuel regulator" that helps the body produce energy and as a substrate for key enzymes such as sirtuins (SIRT1) and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARP). NAD⁺ levels decline naturally with age, and this decline is closely linked to age-related metabolic decline, neurodegenerative diseases, muscle weakness, and other conditions. Maintaining NAD⁺ homeostasis is considered a key strategy for promoting healthy aging and extending healthspan.
Main functions
"1.Improves Metabolic Function: Studies show that NAD⁺ supplementation activates the AMPK pathway, enhances skeletal muscle glucose uptake, and improves insulin sensitivity. A systematic review found that NAD⁺ precursor supplementation increases muscle insulin sensitivity and improves insulin signaling.
2.Enhances Cognition and Neuroprotection: In animal models, NAD⁺ significantly improved cognitive function in aging mice by promoting expression of BDNF, SYN, and PSD-95. In older adults with mild cognitive impairment, the NAD⁺ precursor NR enhanced perfusion of the hippocampus (a key memory region).
3.Antioxidant and Immune Modulation: NAD⁺ significantly enhances antioxidant enzyme activity, reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines, and downregulates senescence-associated genes (p53, p21, p16). Animal studies also show NAD⁺ enhances immune defense against bacterial infections in aging mice.
4.Improves Exercise Performance and Physical Capacity: Exercise regulates NAD⁺ metabolism, and restoring NAD⁺ homeostasis can improve exercise capacity. Combining exercise with NAD⁺ supplementation may produce synergistic effects.
5.Improves Quality of Life Metrics: Clinical studies report that NAD⁺ precursor supplementation is associated with reduced anxiety, improved quality of life in chronic fatigue syndrome patients, reduced fatigue intensity, and better sleep quality."
Recommended audience
"Middle-aged and older adults focused on healthy aging and slowing age-related functional decline.
Individuals with mild cognitive impairment seeking brain health support.
Patients with metabolic syndrome (e.g., obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes).
Individuals needing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immune support.
