About DSIP
DSIP is a nonapeptide (sequence: Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) first discovered in the cerebral venous blood of rabbits during thalamic stimulation, named for its ability to induce delta wave (slow-wave) sleep on EEG . Beyond sleep promotion, DSIP has been observed to affect electrophysiological activity, neurotransmitter levels, circadian rhythms, hormonal levels, and the effects of various neuropsychiatric drugs . Its endogenous receptor and precursor peptide have yet to be fully elucidated . It is primarily used as a research compound.

"1.Induces and Prolongs Slow-Wave (Deep) Sleep: Multiple animal studies confirm that DSIP increases slow-wave sleep duration . An open-label study in chronic insomniacs reported sleep normalization lasting 3-7 months following DSIP injections .
2.""Normalizing"" Effect on Insomnia: Unlike conventional sedatives, DSIP is thought to help regulate sleep rhythms. One study in middle-aged insomniacs showed longer, less interrupted sleep , though other studies report conflicting results .
