About Thymalin

Thymalin is a polypeptide complex extracted from the thymus gland of young calves, belonging to the first generation of thymus peptide drugs. Approved for clinical use in Russia since 1982, it functions primarily as an immunomodulator by restoring the number and function of T and B lymphocytes and enhancing phagocytosis. Research shows its active components include short peptides such as EW dipeptide, KE dipeptide, and EDP tripeptide, which regulate gene expression, cell differentiation, and apoptosis.

Main functions

"1.Immunomodulation and Enhancement: Restores the number and function of T and B lymphocytes. Clinical studies show that in COVID-19 patients, adding thymalin to standard therapy accelerates the decline of IL-6, C-reactive protein, and other indicators, while reducing thrombosis risk. In COVID-19 patients, the thymalin group showed lymphocyte recovery in 7.36 days, significantly better than the 10.78 days in the control group.
2.Anti-Infective Applications: Enhances the body's immune resistance to viral infections. Studies show that in combination therapy for pulmonary tuberculosis, it can shorten hospital stays and improve treatment efficacy. In elderly populations, use reduced the incidence of acute respiratory diseases by 2.0–2.4 times.
3.Promotes Regeneration and Hematopoiesis: Stimulates lymphopoiesis in bone marrow and promotes regeneration and hematopoietic recovery. It has application value in immunosuppression and hematopoietic suppression following chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
4.Anti-Aging and Geroprotective Effects: In a 6-8 year clinical observation, the thymalin-treated group showed a 2.0-2.1 times lower mortality rate compared to the control group, and when combined with pineal peptides, mortality was reduced 4.1 times. It also reduced the incidence of age-related diseases such as ischemic heart disease and hypertension.
5.Neuroprotective Potential: In a preliminary study of Parkinson's disease patients, thymalin combination therapy improved motor symptoms and EEG parameters."
